Hellooooo everyone! Welcome back! I hope you’re all good and had a good week of holidays if you’re in school or college and if you’re in university like myself, I hope you all are working hard through reading week and catching up on all your lectures! For those who are working at a full time job, I hope you all are smiling and successful :)

I wanted to initially film an autumnal makeup look for all of you for Sunday as you all would’ve figured it out from my Instagram that I loveeeeee autumn! However, I’ve had an awful sore throat and still literally sat with a box of tissues for my runny nose with peppermint tea to make me feel better. Hope the British weather isn’t making you all ill like it is to me!

Today I am going to discuss wardrobe staples every woman should have or need in their wardrobes! Now we’ve all been in that situation where we wake up in the morning and we look into our wardrobes and think ‘I have nothing to wear’. These wardrobe staples will save you from that situation! So get your cups of tea ready because this is gon' be a long read!

I’m going to split this post in five sections – 1) Tops 2) Outerwear 3) Jeans/Trousers 4) Accessories 5) Shoes

If I talk about every single section today, you guys will get bored of reading this so I'm going to discuss the other 4 sections weekly! Hopefully by next Sunday, my throat is functioning well and you all will see an autumnal makeup look!

For tops, I have put together all the necessities every wardrobe needs! These necessities are perfect for girls who are in high school to a full time working woman. They can style you from a casual lunch date to a evening dinner date!

Starting from the top left, a grey tee is extremely important. Over the years, grey has definitely become the new black in our lives as people love wearing it just as much as they love black. It's chic! You know them days, when you really just want to put something on and go out because you're having a 'cant be bothered' day? You can wear this grey tee with the tartan top (on the top right) wrapped around your waist and it'll come across as you've made a huge effort when you really haven't.

The crisp white shirt and the denim shirt in the top middle are for those who don't like dressing in tee's all the time! These shirts with black jeans and boots are a great match! They look great for brunch meetings or even when you girls are off to university for a mid day lecture and want to grab lunch later! The two shirts are perfect to even go for dinner because you can just dress the look more with a statement necklace and you're good to go!

Moving on to the bottom four - it starts with a sweatshirt! A sweatshirt is an essential that everyone needs because it can make you look completely effortless and it is so comfy! Dress it up with plain black or blue jeans and knee high boots and you're on point! The sweatshirts that have a little saying on the front make it up for the part where you've not just walked out of bed but you've not taken hours getting ready either! When it's 7am in the morning, you don't want to struggle wearing something you're not comfortable in when you have a busy day planned ahead. The sweatshirt will make you look somehow 'put together' and it will also keep you relaxed throughout the day!

On the second row below, a black peplum top is for an evening look where you can wear this with a statement necklace and your hair in a bun! As this peplum top actually has sheer detailing, it amps the evening look more! This is definitely a staple because it can be worn in different ways! You can style it with a leather jacket, a blazer, burgundy jeans or even in all black and pointed heels!

Khaki has also happened to be a colour that has become the new black this year because it is such a lovely autumnal colour and in Britain, we have the cold weather almost throughout the year! Khaki is such a versatile colour because you can wear it all the time and it's not even boring! This khaki top can be worn in a day to night look where you can wear it with black jeans and wear flats in the day. For the night, add some accessories and a bold lip!

For the last staple, it has to be a camisole! A cami is something that will make you feel relaxed! When you're on a date night, you want to dress up really well but you don't want to look overdressed so the cami sums it up right as it is completely simple and it saves you from feeling nervous! It comes across bold and confident and that is important for a date night as the first impression is the last impression.

Till then, take care of yourself and have a lovely day or night xx
